The High-flyer-rallye: Timmelsjoch high alpine road
Längenfeld - direction Sölden - pass Huben - Aschbach - Sölden - Ditze - Zwieselstein - Untergurgl - Hochgurgl - Timmelsjoch (highest pass of Austria - very twisty) - Saltnuß/Rabenstein - Moos - St. Leonhard way back across the Jaufenpass - Sterzing - Brenner to Innsbruck - Sellraintal - Kühtai - back to Längenfeld. Distance 75 km. We recommend a stop at the "Sandwirt" in St. Leonhard.
Insider tip: the Hahntennjoch road
From Längenfeld out of the valley. Stay on Ötztal Bundesstraße (B186) and follow the route. Leave the Ötztal Bundesstraße (B186) and turn in direction Imst at the roundabout. After about 9 km drive in direction Hahntennjoch. At the inn "Zum Linserhof" further in direction Hahntennjoch - Pfafflar - Bschlabs - Elmen. Way back across Vorarlberg or across Lech - Zürs - Arlberg.
The Vorarlberg trip: Silvretta high alpine road
From Längenfeld out of the valley via the Ötztal Bundesstraße (B186). Follow the route for 19,87 km. Leave the Ötztal Bundesstraße (B186) and take the A12 in direction Bregenz, then to the Paznauntal passing Kappl - Ischgl and Galtür across the Bieler Höhne (Silvretta barrier lake) to Gaschurn - Schruns and Bludenz. Way back via the Arlbergpass - Landeck - Imst - Längenfeld. Tip: We recommend a stop at the Bielerhöhe or at the Arlbergpass in the inn "Valuga".
